3.4 Select and use resources

I use a range of resources, including ICT that engage students in their learning.

Also below is a copy of my practicum report from 2012 which outlines the different resources I used and how I was able to use a range of teaching strategies.

Professional Experience 1 REPORT 2012

‘Learning tasks included; role play, online games, animations, diagrams, worksheets, definitions and glossaries.’

I also used images, YouTube clips, practicals, treasure maps, jigsaw activities, presentations, songs and models to teach.

I have also become more familiar with using the smart board and online resources. Below is a snap shot of one of my lessons using a smart board to teach students about right-angled triangles and Pythagoras’ Theorem.

I have also used media articles including newspaper articles to engage students in their learning and learn about something that is topical and relevant to them. Below is one newspaper article I have used and the worksheet I provided the students with. I have also included the PowerPoint presentation I gave the students.
